LBG and HBG are on a whole another level and requires a good understanding of ammo and crafting (your loadouts will be an absolute mess so you can always craft ammo on the go). (Bow can also apply status depending on supported coatings, but it is not its main use, just a (very) nice addition) You will want skills that reduce stamina consumption because you will spam a specific move all the time (Aim + Dodge) and skills that boost critical hits/ afinity/ attack/ give an extra charge level/ boost normal and power shots. You basically want power coating (on a high end bow, preferably) and you're good to go, Final Boss's bow just happens to give very valuable slots. 10/10īow is the most "new ranged player" friendly possible, I personally use the Final Boss's bow. Makes the Jyuratodos a walk in the park even on High Rank. It will only block the first hit of a wombo combo, but if they're doing something like a body check where you take damage multiple times before you hit the floor from their single long move, you auto pop off as many shots as you would have taken damage. Also, Basarios takes 1.1x damage when underground. Since bombs deal damage regardless of hardness, they will give a great start to the fight. Since Basarios will be in the ground with only its back out, you can easily place several bombs and blow them off. If Basarios manages to run away and hide, it’s best to start the fight with bombs. The best way to punish it is by dodging to the side so you don’t get hit, then attacking Basarios’ tail. The most common attack Basarios uses is his rush attack. It has high damage but is slow, and the player can avoid it if they do not become greedy with their hits. Other than this, the tail and claws are the best weak points to aim for. Since other body parts are harder to hit, damaging the stomach will be the best option to weaken Basarios.
Aim for Basarios’ Chestīreaking Basarios’s chest/stomach will drastically lower Basarios’s defense. These allow you to not only damage it but make it hard for Basarios to make his tail sweep attack, or harder to hide if he runs away, and even lower his defenses. Basarios Weak Spotsīararios’ tail, chest, and back can be broken. It will hide underground with only its back exposed, camouflaging as simple boulders.
